LULU GETS A FACELIFT, documents the trials and tra-veils of a 52 year old gay man who decides to get a facelift.

It's EXTREME MAKEOVER - NIP TUCK meets QUEER EYE, with a dash of PINK FLAMINGOS and AB FAB thrown in. Indeed, it is unlike any other "reality" video you've seen on the subject- Lulu Gets a Facelift like the man himself is beyond reality!

Lulu is a performer extraordinaire. He is a survivor of the glitter obsessed Cockette inspired theatre troupe ANGELS OF LIGHT. He is a talented musician, belly dancer, and chef. Lulu is also a non-stop chatterbox and a vision to behold- a total dish queen who still dresses in bell bottoms and platform shoes.

His personality is indeed bigger than life, the problem is that his face is sagging. To make the face once again portray the inner diva, Lulu decides to go for a facelift.

But what is the real reason for the $15,000 procedure? Is he trying to impress younger men whom he's attracted to (he says he's anywhere between 37 and 45 when surfing the net for dates)? Or is it, as he says, action to have his face match his (very toned) body? Is the surgery a fearless stab at gravity, or a fearful acknowledgement of vanity?

Esmerelda, a friend of Lulu's since the 1970s offered her thoughts about his impending operation. She expresses some of the issues presented in the film.
